Admissions

With students traveling from across Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland, there are several options for getting to Salesianum.

Find your best route by reading our general transportation letter and exploring the options below.

Please note: All Salesianum students must complete a transportation form at time of registration, regardless of how you intend to commute to campus.

Pennsylvania School District Bus
For students residing in Pennsylvania, there are seven school districts that offer free bus transportation to Salesianum: Chester-Upland (215-292-7680) Chichester (610-458-6881) Garnett Valley (610-579-7482) Kennett (610-444-6619) Penn Delco (610-497-6300) Unionville-Chadds Ford (610-347-0804) West Chester (484-266-1040) If you choose district busing, our team will submit your information to the individual district, which will then confirm your address and send you bus stop information directly.
Van Service
Live further from our campus? We offer van transportation along ten routes that span Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. Service routes are designed based on the number of confirmed riders, along with students commuting to Ursuline Academy and Padua Academy. Salesianum provides van services in partnership with Kid Ridez, a local company specializing in transportation for schools and related activities. We use new 12- and 15-passenger vans, and all our professional drivers are vetted and trained for promptness and safety. Our team uses Cariina to maintain rosters. The app allows parents to track the van’s location and receive alerts when students board and exit. Salesianum subsidizes nearly two-thirds of the per-rider fee. Though unlikely, routes may be canceled due to a lack of riders. Van seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up as soon as student enrollment is completed. Need a route that’s not listed? Please contact our admissions team . Already signed up, but no longer need van service? Please notify our transportation team by August 15 to cancel without further fees.
DART Bus Service
The Delaware public transit system includes several bus routes, including stops directly in front of our campus. In addition to costing less than our van service, DART riders can choose from more options for arrival and departure times. See DART schedules
